Fans know that anything can happen when you watch WWE programming, and talents can get called up from NXT to Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown at anytime.
According to WrestleVotes there were plans for NXT talent to be called up to SmackDown last week during the main event segment with Roman Reigns, Jey Uso and Kevin Owens. As of showtime they were written into SmackDown.
It’s not clear which talent is being referenced, but it’s being said that said talent is part of tonight’s NXT New Year’s Evil card.
It’s possible that the debut was pushed back a week, or scrapped altogether.
