You never know who might show up on NXT, and during this week’s episode Apollo Crews made his return to the brand. Crews teased a future title match with NXT Champion Bron Breakker then he went on to team up with Solo Sikoa in the main event.
Crews is now officially part of the NXT roster once again and he returned to the brand without the gimmick he had been using on the main roster, and without Commander Azeez.
However, it doesn’t seem that fans have seen the last of Commander Azeez as PWInsider is reporting that he has also been moved from Raw to NXT.
Commander Azeez did not appear on Tuesday’s episode of NXT. It’s not clear at this point in time if he will continue to use the name Commander Azeez, or use a new gimmick moving forward. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
