It was a big weekend for WWE fans as SummerSlam aired live from Cleveland Browns Stadium, and Michael Cole also made a big announcement during the pre-show.
Cole confirmed that Joe Tessitore will be making his debut on the Monday Night Raw announce team on September 2nd, and Michael Cole also announced that he will be moving to the Friday Night SmackDown brand.
The Wrestling Observer is now reporting that the move will be temporary. According to the report the current plan is to move Joe Tessitore to SmackDown in January, and move Michael Cole back to Raw when the show debuts on Netflix.
At this point in time there’s currently no word on what WWE has planned for Corey Graves and Wade Barrett. It was recently reported that Pat McAfee is expected to be pulled from the WWE announce team so he can focus on his broadcast duties for ESPN College Gameday.
Stay tuned for updates.
