Over the years fans have seen a number of different announcers sit at the commentary table, but Michael Cole has had a consistent presence on WWE programming for decades now. In addition to his on screen role Cole has also been managing the announcers behind the scenes.
PWInsider is reporting that Michael Cole took on the responsibility of managing announcers for a long time, but he has pulled back from those duties so that he can focus on his role as an on screen talent.
It’s being said that this change was a Michael Cole decision and it was one that WWE had no issue with. The word going around is that Sue Cundaro has taken over the role of managing announcers. Cundaro has been with the company for a long time and has worked with Michael Cole managing announcers.
