WWE Reportedly Makes Big Changes To The Creative Team

WWE has been making some big backstage changes over the last few months, and according to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com there was a big shake-up with the writing teams this week.

Ryan Ward, the lead writer for SmackDown, is said to be officially out on what is being called a personal leave.

SmackDown scripts have been heavily edited by Vince McMahon over the last few weeks, so a change for the blue brand was seen as inevitable.

Ed Koskey, lead writer of Raw, has been moved to SmackDown, and he is set to work with Eric Bischoff.

Koskey has been with WWE for more than 18 years. He’s been a key member of the creative team for the last decade and is the Vice President of Creative Writing.

It’s expected that the creative teams will be split in October when WWE officially splits talent rosters again.

Jonathan Backstrom has taken over on the Raw side and he will be working with Paul Heyman. He had been in charge of 205 Live since November of 2016, but Paul Heyman moved him to the red brand when he was put in charge of Raw.
