WWE Reportedly Makes Big Change To Roman Reigns’ Internal Status

Anticipation was at an all time high heading into SummerSlam over the weekend as many fans were hoping to see Roman Reigns return. Cody Rhodes defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in the main event, and Roman Reigns did indeed return during the match. The Tribal Chief made his way down to the ring then hit Solo Sikoa with a Superman Punch followed by the spear which led to Cody Rhodes picking up the win.

PWInsider is now reporting that Roman Reigns is now listed internally as a babyface following his return at SummerSlam. It’s being reported that Damian Priest is also now listed as a babyface.

Roman Reigns spent the majority of his WWE career working as a babyface, but he finally turned heel in 2020 when he took on The Tribal Chief persona.

Prior to his return at SummerSlam, Roman Reigns had not appeared on WWE programming since he dropped the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40 back in April. In recent weeks Solo Sikoa has proclaimed himself to be the new Tribal Chief, so it will be interesting to see where things go from here now that Roman Reigns is back in the mix.
