This week WWE taped two episodes of Friday Night SmackDown, but it sounds like the company had to make some adjustments to the show. Fightful Select reports that Kevin Owens was supposed to be featured at the double SmackDown tapings, but he was unable to make it due to a “nightmare travel situation.”
Due to KO’s travel situation he had to be written out of the shows and major changes were made. This week on SmackDown it was announced that Kevin Owens & John Cena will face Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn on the December 30 episode. John Cena appeared in a video and originally Kevin Owens was supposed to introduce the video when he was face to face with The Bloodline.
It’s also being reported that the following producers were listed for this week’s SmackDown episode:
– Tag Titles: Liv Morgan & Tegan Nox vs. Damage CTRL: Peter Williams
– LA Knight and Bray Wyatt: Road Dogg
– IC Title: Ricochet vs. Gunther: Jamie Noble
– Hit Row vs. Legado Del Fantasma vs. Viking Raiders: Adam Pearce
– Bloodline/Cena segment: Jason Jordan
