WWE brought back the cruiserweight division in 2016, and since then the division has been met with a mixed response from fans. The cruiserweights step into the spotlight every Tuesday night when 205 Live airs on the WWE Network, and Enzo Amore recently joined the show to add a little star power.
Whether you love him or hate him, Enzo definitely got people talking about the cruiserweight division, and now it looks like two more names could be added to 205 Live in the future.
PWInsider is reporting that WWE officials are looking to sign former Impact Wrestling star Rockstar Spud. Rockstar Spud was recently released from his Impact Wrestling contract about 2 to 3 weeks ago. The former X-Division Champion was with the company between 2012 and 2017, and he’s proven to be able to handle a number of different roles.
It’s also being reported that current NXT star Hideo Itami is being considered for a call up with the idea being that he could join Raw as a member of the cruiserweight division.
The idea has reportedly been pitched multiple times as of late, and even though an official date isn’t set, the plan is to call Hideo Itami up when creative plans are in place.
