NXT has become quite the brand over the past few years. It’s gone from being a strictly developmental territory for WWE to being a showcase for some of the world’s most popular and talented wrestlers. In the past WWE has refrained from signing certain talents due to their look and size. But the company will be scouting new talent for the brand and certain limitations in regards to what they’re looking for may be removed going forward.
WWE is looking for NXT to do more touring in 2016 and they’re also looking to add more indy talents to the roster. Talents that were turned away previously due to their look and size may be getting another look. WWE is looking to bring in new top stars for the NXT brand and according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the plan for NXT going forward is for it to be a WWE brand with WWE production and ROH style main events.
