Back in August WWE moved their TV tapings to the Amway Center in Orlando, FL and they renamed the arena ThunderDome.
The state of the art structure has created some interesting visuals during the COVID era, but it looks like WWE could be leaving ThunderDome sooner rather than later.
Inside The Ropes reports that WWE’s contract with the Amway Center is set to expire next month, and WWE talents have been told that there are tentative plans in place to travel again.
One source noted that the plan is to start traveling soon, and talents have been told not to make any travel plans on their own time. Superstars who want time off are being told to ask three weeks ahead of time.
The move was also reportedly confirmed by another source who noted that preparations for a move from the Amway Center are underway, but WWE has yet to make firm decisions regarding future locations for shows.
WWE’s contract with the Amway Center officially expires on October 31.
It’s worth noting that WrestleVotes recently reported WWE officials were looking into the idea of holding events at outdoor venues.
