After months of speculation and rumors, Lucha Underground recently announced that the show would be returning for a second season next year. The announcement apparently came as a surprise to WWE officials who were hoping to sign two names from the Lucha Underground roster according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
WWE was reportedly interested in signing Angelico and Ricochet who’s working in Lucha Underground as Prince Puma. Ricochet is roommates with Apollo Crews and WWE had been discussing the possibility of bringing him in to work with Finn Balor. However it doesn’t look like WWE will be signing him anytime soon as he reportedly has a 7 year deal with Lucha Underground.
