It’s been a wild year for the world of professional wrestling, and quite a few stars have been released.
It was recently announced that Impact World Champion Tessa Blanchard had been stripped of her title, and that Impact terminated her contract.
Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE sent feelers out to contact Tessa Blanchard about possibly working with the company.
Blanchard previously worked with WWE when she competed in the Mae Young Classic, and she’s also worked in NXT.
According to reports, Tessa Blanchard was supposed to send Impact Wrestling company promo videos from Mexico for an episode of Impact, but she never sent them. The company also reportedly made attempts to bring her in to drop the Impact World Title, but the two sides couldn’t come to terms.
There’s currently no word on if AEW is interested in signing her.
