You never know who might show up on AEW Dynamite, and this week fans saw the debut of W. Morrissey, formerly known as Big Cass in WWE. Morrissey competed in a singles match on Wednesday night as he turned out to be the mystery opponent MJF set up for Wardlow.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast is reporting that WWE is “definitely impressed” with Morrissey. One person reportedly sent a message to Zarian during Morrissey’s entrance which said, “did you see this F’N guy?”
It’s not guaranteed that WWE will be looking to take W. Morrissey back, but Zarian also noted that he got messages from people inquiring about Morrissey’s current contract with Impact Wrestling and when it will end.
W. Morrissey signed a deal with WWE in 2011 and he worked his way through NXT before getting called up to the main roster with Enzo Amore in 2016. He last competed at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view in 2018 and he was released shortly after.
