WWE Reportedly Has Significant Interest In AEW Star

Over the last few years fans have seen a number of AEW stars jump to WWE such as Ethan Page, Jade Cargill and Lexis King. WWE is constantly adding to their roster and it looks like company officials could be looking to bring in another AEW name.

Fightful Select is reporting that NXT sources have said that there is significant interest in bringing in Ricky Starks to join the brand once he’s available.

Ricky Starks has not been used in months which has left everyone to wonder what the future holds for the former AEW Tag Team Champion. It’s been rumored that Starks might already be a free agent, but that has not been confirmed, and there seems to be a lot of speculation regarding his contract status at the moment.

Back in 2020, Ricky Starks made his debut with AEW when he answered Cody Rhodes’ open challenge for the TNT Championship. Up until the company stopped using him earlier this year he had a fairly consistent presence on AEW programming.
