WrestleMania season is officially here, and wrestling fans are counting down the days until WrestleMania 38 in April. This year the show of shows will take place from Texas, and it was recently reported that WWE is trying to get Steve Austin to return to the ring for a match with Kevin Owens.
It sounds like WWE could be pulling out all the stops for WrestleMania 38 as Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the company has another “Austin level” surprise planned for the show.
“There’s apparently one more surprise, besides Austin, still to come. It’s supposed to be Austin level. You know that’s a pretty small list of people that could be Austin level. The Rock, I think Dwayne, has things going on, so I don’t think it’s going to be him. So who else do we have? Hogan, Flair and Undertaker right?”
Meltzer went on to say that he was told John Cena “has got stuff going on” so an appearance from Cena would be a surprise, but he also noted that Cena isn’t necessarily “Austin level.”
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
