Fans can expect to see some interesting moves on the road to WrestleMania, and recently it was announced that former WWE Champion Big E had been moved from Monday Night Raw to Friday Night SmackDown.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Big E being moved to SmackDown and reunited with The New Day looks to signal the end of his push as a championship level singles star.
It’s being said that the plan for him on SmackDown was to reunite him with The New Day not to position him as an opponent for Roman Reigns. However, a singles match with Reigns could happen at some point this year as The Tribal Chief will constantly need new opponents.
Big E cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on September 13th, 2021 and he defeated Bobby Lashley to become the new WWE Champion. Last month he defended the title in a fatal five way main event at the Day 1 pay-per-view, and Brock Lesnar won the belt when he pinned Big E. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
