Back in September the decision was made to relaunch NXT as NXT 2.0, and since then the brand has been moving in a different direction. NXT 2.0 has been focusing on newer stars, but the ratings for the show have been trending downward.
Now WrestleVotes is reporting that WWE is said to be disappointed with NXT 2.0 after the first four months. It was noted that the company thought fans would gravitate towards newer stars quicker than they have. Despite the disappointment with NXT 2.0 it’s not expected that changes will be made to the concept just yet.
According to ShowBuzzDaily, this week’s episode of NXT averaged 587,000 viewers with a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic. Viewership was down compared to the 647,000 viewers that tuned into last week’s show.
