WWE Reportedly Contacting Released Superstars And Asking Them To Return

Over the last few years the mass WWE releases have become a very hot topic in the world of professional wrestling, but you never know when you could see a familiar face return to the company.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE has contacted wrestlers they’ve fired and asked some of them to return to the company, similar to what they did with Impact Knockouts Champion Mickie James.

It was recently reported that Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champions The IInspiration, formerly known as The IIconics in WWE, were contacted about a potential return but they turned it down.

WWE released Jeff Hardy back in December, and it was also recently reported that John Laurinaitis contacted Hardy and asked him to return the company. Hardy was reportedly offered a Hall of Fame induction but he turned the offer down.

It’s not clear at this point in time who else the company has contacted about potentially returning. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
