WWE Reportedly Considering Cutting WrestleMania Staple Match

There are plenty of ways to earn a WrestleMania Moment. Sometimes it means you have to win a title and other times all you have to do is perform a high spot. But if a Superstar is able to win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal then that certainly does a good job at securing them a shot at immortality.

Cesaro, Big Show, Baron Corbin, and Mojo Rawley have all claimed victories in the big over the top rope WrestleMania match ever since its conception. But it looks like Mojo Rawley could hold the distinguishment of being the last man to win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

When discussing what WWE could do with Braun Strowman at WrestleMania, one person texted Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live suggesting WWE book The Monster Among Men to go over in the big battle royal match. But Alvarez revealed that WWE could possibly not be booking anyone to win that match this year because they might not be holding it at all.

“I don’t know if they’re gonna have one this year. I’ve heard they may do a women’s battle royal this year like a Mae Young or a Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal,” Alvarez said. “It may be the women getting it this year and not the guys.”

Therefore you never know what WWE could throw at us this year at the Show Of Shows. One thing is for sure, they need to figure something out quickly. Let’s hope if they do book a huge women’s battle royal match at WrestleMania that they keep in mind how many women WWE actually has on the active roster so they don’t have to call in 12 surprises again like they did for the Royal Rumble. After all, in time even the biggest surprises can come off as lackluster if we keep getting them all the time.
