Over the last year or so WWE has released a number of talents from the main roster and NXT, but recently the wrestling world has been talking a lot about the return of Samoa Joe.
It’s been reported that Samoa Joe is currently set to return to the NXT brand following his release from WWE back in April, and now fans are wondering if we could see more familiar faces return in the future.
Fightful Select is reporting that there were numerous released talents over the last 14 months that NXT discussed trying to bring in, but the returns didn’t end up happening.
It’s also being said that at least one of the recently released stars pitched to return to NXT, but their request was turned down.
Drake Maverick is an interesting example as he ended up joining the NXT brand shortly after he was released from his WWE contract last year.
