You never know who might appear when you watch Monday Night Raw and a few weeks ago Lita returned to help Becky Lynch battle Damage CTRL. It was rumored that Trish Stratus would be added to the feud, but the Hall of Famer hasn’t showed up just yet.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that at one point the plan was for Trish Stratus to return during the 2/13 episode of Monday Night Raw, but the return was canceled. It’s being reported that the return of Trish Stratus was canceled due to Dakota Kai’s injury.
The belief is that WWE was trying to build up Becky Lynch, Lita and Trish Stratus vs. Damage CTRL. Plans for the angle are not dead, but the potential match was not scheduled for Elimination Chamber.
Current plans call for Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky to defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania. It’s not known at this point if they could work twice over WrestleMania weekend, but the angle with Trish Stratus is expected to be revisited again at some point.
