WWE has been expanding in a big way over the last few years and during WrestleMania weekend in 2025 it was announced that WWE had reached an agreement to acquire AAA.
Since then the company has secured a media rights agreement with Fox, which brought AAA to Fox properties in Mexico and Latin America. Now it appears that WWE will be looking to hold a AAA event in the United States sooner than later.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that WWE will be bringing AAA to the United States of America for the first time under the new ownership.
According to the report the current plan is to hold a AAA show on April 11th. A location has not been disclosed, although Texas was speculated, but not confirmed. It was also noted that the show will be a triple taping.
Following the acquisition The Undertaker has been working in creative for AAA, and Rey Mysterio recently indicated that he might be looking to step into a similar role in the futute.
“But overall, I think it might be fun to help with the acquisition with AAA and be involved as much as I can with that. And kind of start learning on how to work on the production side or how I can invest my time to eventually help AAA grow. Knowing that that was my house, my very first house or my home from day one. And from there, it all started. Everything flourished from AAA. But I’m still enjoying the moment,” Rey said.
