WWE Reportedly Attempting To Get Huge Name For SmackDown 1000

SmackDown 1000 is shaping up to be a pretty big show, and several former WWE Superstars have already been confirmed for the event.

Batista will be making his return to WWE for the Evolution reunion, and it looks like another former WWE Champion could be returning as well.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE officials are trying to get The Rock to make an appearance on the show.

SmackDown was originally named after The Rock’s catchphrase, and he used to call it “The Rock’s show.”

Names confirmed for the show so far include The Undertaker, Michelle McCool, Teddy Long, Vickie Guerrero, Torrie Wilson and Edge.

The Capital One Arena is also advertising WWE Champion AJ Styles & Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz & Samoa Joe, and Charlotte Flair, Asuka & Naomi vs Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and The Ilconics for the show.
