It looks like the complaining about The Fabulous Moolah having a big battle royal named after her might have paid off. It’s not every day when an online movement works but in this case, it looks like WWE heard what everyone was saying.
After all, to celebrate the life of a woman who so many people described as a thief and a pimp probably doesn’t show the best light on the Grandest Stage Of Them All. WWE even tried to disable comments on YouTube where fans were blasting WWE’s hypocrisy. Now it looks like WWE is figuring something else out.
WWE recently released a statement which backtracked from naming the battle royal after the WWE Hall Of Famer. In a day and age where they’re trying so hard to erase the stigma of past transgressions against women, this is probably the best idea.
WWE said in their statement: “After further consideration, we believe it’s best to proceed with the name ‘WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.’ What remains most important is that this historic match is part of WWE’s unwavering commitment to the Women’s Division.”
Rusev and Lana have a lot of fun on social media but it turns out that so does Ryback. The Lion Of Bulgaria and The Ravishing Russain were recently doing a live Instagram session when someone popped up in their feed that they probably didn’t see coming, Mr. Feed More.
Ryback posted a rather interesting question when he asked, “are you involved in this steroid scandal? I can’t have you involved in my company if you’re involved in this Bravo stuff.”
Of course, Ryback was referring to the Jon Bravo documentary that’s on the way which will uncover WWE’s relationship with accused and convicted steroid dealer Richard Rodriguez.
Let’s just hope it was all a joke because the last thing we need is for The Bulgarian Brute’s name to pop up on that list, especially on Rusev Day.
