Unfortunately WWE has made another round of cuts as Fightful Select reports that the following names have been released from NXT:
– Dexter Lumis
– Malcolm Bivens
– Dakota Kai
– Harland
– Persia Pirotta
– Raelyn Divine
– Draco Anthony
– Sanjana George
– Mila Malani
– Blair Baldwin
According to the report it was John Laurinaitis who made the cuts and budget cuts were cited as the reason for the releases. An internal email was sent which read, “Due to budgetary cuts, and with immediate effect as of today, 4/29/2022, we have come to the terms to release the following.”
It’s being said that Malcolm Bivens/Stokely Hathaway made it clear that he had no plans of re-signing with WWE. He was offered a new deal in February but he told the company that he would not be signing it. A source in the department noted that there was a push from WWE Digital to feature Bivens more.
Dakota Kai wasn’t planning on renewing her contract and was said to have seen the release coming. Coaches and officials noted that Harland had not progressed in the ring enough for their liking.
Several of the released stars are said to be in good spirits following the cuts. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
