Mick Foley started off the third hour of WWE Raw in the ring and introduced the Hugger, Bayley. They’re really pulling off a neat trick with Bayley and Sasha Banks where The Boss keeps doing all these heelish things to help her, but Bayley doesn’t realize what’s going on until it’s too late.
Bayley said it doesn’t feel right and Mick said it doesn’t matter how she got there, it only matters where she’s going. Mick Foley brought up the fact that Bayley needs an opponent for WrestleMania and Sasha’s music hit.
The Boss came out and offered up her services to make their dream come true and face each other at Mania for the Raw Women’s Championship. Mick Foley asked the crowd what they thought as Charlotte Flair’s music hit and she came out with Dana Brooke (because, why not?).
Char-Char said Sasha’s plan is crystal clear at this point and positioned herself to be the #1 contender. The Nature Girl accused Banks of pretending to be Bayley’s friend and called herself a victim. She said she was robbed of her title and her pay-per-view streak. Charlotte called Bayley and Sasha Mick’s “two favourite daughters” which is more evidence she doesn’t watch WWE Network original programming.
Steph’s music hit and she came down as the crowd shut down the CM Punk chants. Stephanie said that all Chicagoans are just like CM Punk: they’re all losers. Okay, that’ll work as a burn. McMahon got in Foley’s face and said the person who deserves the women’s championship match was the person who was robbed: Charlotte Flair.
Stephanie then made it official that Bayley will be putting her title on the line at Mania. Foley stood up for The Boss, then he proposed a match between Charlotte and Sasha next week for the #1 contender spot.
Stephanie said if Sasha wins the match then the match at WrestleMania will be a triple threat match. She then turned everything upside down when she said the #1 contender match wouldn’t be next week, it would be tonight and it would be Sasha vs. Bayley.
Bayley vs. Sasha Banks
The Nature Girl joined the announce team while Dana Brooke stood over her shoulder looking like she would rather be lifting weights and flexing for Arnold Schwarzenegger. Bayley and Sasha traded a few moves and proved how well they work together.
These two ladies worked around the ring with arm drags and traded moves with great agility and smoothness. The Boss eventually caught The Hugger by levelling Bayley with a stiff clothesline to slow The Hugger down.
Charlotte finally saw enough as she walked from the announce table down to the ring with Dana Brooke following behind her. The Boss and The Hugger didn’t seem to let that bother them though as they carried on in the ring.
Sasha went for her double knees, but Bayley moved. Bayley went for a top-rope crossbody but Sasha moved out of the way as well. These girls have each other well scouted.
Sasha locked Bayley in the Banks Statement and as Bayley got to the ropes, Dana distracted the referee and removed Bayley’s hold of the rope. The Hugger tapped to the Banks Statement and Charlotte got in the ring to take both Sasha and Bayley out.
The segment ended with Flair standing tall. Apparently, Nia Jax got cut from this proposed match as the rumors were it would be a fatal four-way. No word on if she will be added later, as of now it’s a triple threat match between Charlotte, Bayley, and Sasha Banks. It’s pretty much the same match they had last year at Mania and they brought focus to that point on commentary, only instead of Becky Lynch, Bayley is in the match.
