A new era kicked off this week on Monday Night Raw as the McMahons announced they’ll be running Raw and SmackDown Live moving forward, and they promised the fans a fresh start.
Many fans have argued that there are quite a few stars on the main roster who aren’t being used properly, and one Superstar who’s often labeled as misused is none other than the first ever Universal Champion Finn Balor.
However, Balor has had a much more prominent role on Raw as of late, and he recently picked up a big victory when he defeated Drew McIntyre at TLC.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that after being stuck in the midcard for a while, Finn Balor is about to get a significant push.
How long this push will last remains to be seen, but it was noted that Balor is expected to be pushed “at least for a little while.”
Balor has found himself in more high profile feuds as of late and he’s currently working with Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre.
Even though Balor did pick up a win over McIntyre at TLC, it’s also being reported that the match featured interference from Dolph Ziggler because WWE officials are adamant about protecting Drew McIntyre.
