It’s always unfortunate when an injury takes a WWE star out of action and Erik of The Viking Raiders has been sitting on the sidelines for a few months now. It seems that Erik is now on the road to recovery as he recently confirmed on social media that he underwent neck fusion surgery.
Following his neck fusion surgery Erik posted the following statement on Instagram:
I cannot express the proper gratitude and thankfulness to the amazing Dr Cordover and his incredible staff at @andrews_sports_medicine and St Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL and to @wwe for always making sure I have the best care possible.
C6 / C7 fusion surgery was successful and recovery begins now.
I’m excited for all the possibilities once my cybernetic upgrades come fully online.
Erik’s partner Ivar also joked about possibly coming up with a new tag team name when he posted a comment which said, “Can’t wait to reveal our new tag name upon your return, the Neck Fusion Experience”
It was recently reported that there is no timeline for Erik’s return to the ring. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
