In the land of WWE you’re either a heel or a face, and it looks like one of WWE’s most inspirational faces may be switching sides soon.
This week at the NBCUniversal Upfronts, Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax challenged Ronda Rousey to a title match at Money in the Bank, and Rousey has accepted.
Nia will now put her title on the line against Ronda Rousey in a few weeks, but this presents a big problem for WWE because both stars are currently playing the face role on TV.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s speculated that WWE could solve this problem by turning Nia Jax heel and aligning her with Stephanie McMahon. One idea could see Rousey get close to winning the title, only for McMahon to screw her out of a victory.
As we saw on the Road to WrestleMania, WWE officials have been high on the idea of trying to turn Stephanie McMahon vs. Ronda Rousey into the modern version of Vince McMahon vs. Steve Austin.
One way or another, with Ronda Rousey getting a title shot in the second pay-per-view match of her WWE career, it will be interesting to see how the finish is booked.
