Professional wrestling isn’t for the weak as many names have found out over the years. Last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was action packed, and the show featured a singles match which saw Penta pick up a victory over Xavier Woods.
Fightful Select is reporting that after his match with Penta, Xavier Woods told people that his neck was “messed up.” There’s currently no word on the extent of the potential injury, but a source claimed that they saw Xavier Woods wearing a neck brace later that evening.
According to the report Xavier Woods was able to leave under his own power, and the belief is that initially it wasn’t severe as he was able to continue his night. Woods was said to have been selling the neck injury throughout the evening on Monday, and at restaurants after the show.
Recently Xavier Woods posted a video on social media talking about the dangers of the piledriver, which seems to indicate that the injury could just be a work. In the video Woods specifically mentions the Mexican Destroyer which is the move that Penta used to defeat him last week on Raw.
Fans are obviously skeptical nowadays when it comes to potential worked injuries as Seth Rollins recently pulled off what’s being called the “ruse of the century” when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on CM Punk at SummerSlam.
Stay tuned for more updates on the status of Xavier Woods as they become available.
