This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw featured some interesting segments, but matches for the show weren’t announced until 90 minutes before Raw went on the air.
Gary Cassidy of Sportskeeda reports that Vince McMahon hadn’t even looked at the Raw script until the morning of the show when he got on the corporate jet. Talents were apparently pitched ideas for the show with the provision being that “Vince hasn’t read the show yet.”
It’s being said that right now there’s a creative force driving the SmackDown brand, but there is a lack in that department when it comes to Raw.
The two names spearheading creative for the red brand are said to be “not up to the task of getting the show done in time” or “getting input from talent” in a manner that is timely.
A source also noted that, “RAW has really fallen apart without [Paul] Heyman driving the creative.”
Paul Heyman recently resurfaced on the SmackDown brand as Roman Reigns’ advocate. It was recently reported that he’s been “heavily influential” in how Roman Reigns has been booked since his return.
