Business has picked up in the WWE women’s tag team division as of late, but it seems that WWE has had to make some changes when it comes to the original plans. Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler competed in a fatal four way tag team match at WrestleMania 39, but it was reported that originally they were supposed to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles and the expectation was that they would be winning the belts.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that plans for Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler to chase the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles have been put on hold because Ronda Rousey is out of action due to injury.
Earlier this month Ronda Rousey did wrestle at WrestleMania 39, but she was not ready to return and still isn’t ready. It’s being said that Rousey’s mentality was basically “f**k it” and that she was doing WrestleMania no matter what because of the mentality she has from herself and her mom when it comes to competing in sports while injured.
Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green recently started a feud with current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez, and it was noted that Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler were originally supposed to be in that program.
There’s currently no word on when Ronda Rousey will be back in action. Stay tunefd for more updates on Ronda’s status as they become available.
