After Triple H took over WWE creative last year the company went on a bit of signing spree, but that seems to have slowed down in recent months. Back in January it was reported that Colby Corino signed with WWE and was expected to report to the WWE Performance Center in March.
Bodyslam.net is reporting that Colby Corino has now been affected by the hiring freeze in WWE. It was said that wouldn’t be the case with Corino, but things have changed.
Corino had not signed a contract with WWE, but was offered a deal which both sides agreed to. However, shortly after WWE was sold to Endeavor which stopped everything regarding WWE’s hiring process. Colby Corino is now reportedly a free agent.
There’s currently no word on whether or not WWE will be looking to bring Colby Corino back should circumstances change in the future. Stay tuned for more updates on his status as they become available.
