It’s been a long time since July 2015 when Hulk Hogan was a judge on Tough Enough one day and the next he was washed from WWE’s history. But it happened and there’s nothing we can do to change it. Hogan said some horrible things and he has since apologized for it.
Although what he said is rather unforgivable, a lot of fans would love to see Hulk Hogan’s WWE return. But some might not be too keen to forgive him so quickly. With WrestleMania coming up soon, it might make sense for talk of Hogan’s return starting back up again. After all, we got the same kind of talk this time last year but nothing came of it.
The recent Fabulous Moolah fiasco might have also thrown a monkey wrench into the situation.
But it looks like the former leader of the nWo and Hulkamania could very well be inching closer to working something out with WWE for a comeback. But if it happens, WWE needs to be very careful about things because they don’t want to upset their sponsors.
PW Insider reports WWE is currently in talks to bring Hulk Hogan back to the company. At this point, it’s still unclear exactly what kind of part Hogan might play if the two sides could come to an agreement, but the important part is that there are reportedly discussions.
In a rather brilliant move of denying something without denying anything, WWE released a statement which pretty much only said that a deal between the two sides hasn’t come to fruition yet. But they didn’t seem to acknowledge the actual question concerning the reality of ongoing talks.
“We have had discussions with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) about how he can help others learn from his mistakes, however, he is not under any contract with WWE.”
The wording WWE used when they talked about learning from mistakes really makes it sound like they could be preparing people to forgive someone, or is it just me? One thing is for sure if Hogan could return by WrestleMania 34 and get the name of the Super Dome correct that would be great.
