More On WWE Possibly Purchasing TNA, Note On Tony Nese And Drew Gulak’s WWE Status

It was noted this morning on Wrestling Observer Radio that TNA sale talks are heating up, and WWE is back in the picture.

PWInsider is also reporting that Dixie Carter has had communications with WWE about a potential sale. If Dixie does sell to WWE, it would be the end of TNA because WWE would not be buying the company to operate it. WWE would only be interested in the tape library and a few members of the TNA roster. It’s said that time is running out for TNA, and something is going to give and it’s going to be soon.

The next few days will be crucial for TNA as Bound For Glory is coming up on Sunday, and the company has Impact tapings scheduled for next week. Dixie Carter is reportedly in the same situation she was in prior to Slammiversary as TNA needs to secure funding for the upcoming events.

Billy Corgan began investing in TNA around the time of Slammiversary, and he’s made it well known that he wants to purchase the company. However, the situation is complicated because so many others are involved with the sale, and everyone wants something to show for their ownership points.

PWInsider also notes that WWE has not signed Drew Gulak or Tony Nese. The pair will be booked for additional appearances with WWE, but as of right now the company has not signed them. WWE is reportedly interested in bringing Drew Gulak into the Performance Center as a trainer.
