Over the last few years WWE has expanded their international reach in a big way with their premium live events. The company has taken premium live events to places like Saudi Arabia, France, Puerto Rico and Scotland to name a few. This creates a grueling travel schedule that gives talent who have to travel to Raw following the show little downtime. Now it seems that WWE could be looking to make a change.
PW Nexus is reporting that WWE has discussed the idea of possibly taping Raw on Sunday whenever the show has to follow an international premium live event such as Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
The idea is that the new schedule would give talent more time to recover instead of just having to fly back and rush to get to TV. It was noted that this idea has not currently been approved or cleared as of right now.
WWE’s next international premium live event will take place later this month when Bash In Berlin airs from Germany on Saturday, August 31st. Stay tuned for updates.
