WWE Possibly Making Big Change To Stage For Future Events

Madison Square Garden is one of the most famous arenas in the world and the stars of WWE recently returned to the venue earlier this month for the 7/7 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. It seems that the show was a huge success as after SmackDown it was announced that the show was the highest grossing WWE event ever at Madison Square Garden.

Even though the recent episode of SmackDown was a big success it seems that it could have been even bigger if the company had adjusted their stage set up to accommodate more people.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that there is at least talk of using a smaller stage for TV at some arenas where the advance ticket sales are strong. The idea wasn’t talked before because the current staging was set up for 12,000 to 13,000 which was more than WWE was selling with the exception of major premium live events.

Now there are many shows where WWE can sell more than 15,000 tickets like they did in San Juan for Backlash and London for Money in the Bank. It was noted that WWE probably could have done the same at Madison Square Garden recently.
