WWE is a huge brand that’s well known all over the world, and the company can market their characters and themes through just about any medium. Now it looks like WWE could be looking to bring their brand to fans in a different way, as new information has surfaced revealing that the company might be looking to build theme park attractions in the future
An international entertainment design firm known as Forrec recently released a publication showing some of their work, and it includes a section about “WWE Branded Attractions.”
The pamphlet notes that: “WWE was especially conscious of creating authentic experiences that would live up to the high expectations of their extremely discerning fans. They were also looking for scalability so that their branded attractions
could be accommodated in a variety of venues.”
It also notes that Forrec worked hard with manufacturers to create rides that mirror the signature moves of superstars. Some examples listed include names such as Moonsault, Rock Bottom, Triple H’s Sledgehammer, Suplex City and a ride called Road to WrestleMania.
Other attractions include a haunted house called the House of Horrors which features characters such as The Undertaker and Boogeyman, as well as an Andre the Giant fun house, and a NXT Bootcamp.
Given that the attractions are scalable, they could be used to build an entire theme park, or they could be added to already existing parks and marketed around the world.
As of right now there’s no word on whether or not WWE will be moving forward with constructing any of the attractions anytime soon, or possible locations for a potential theme park.
It’s been rumored for years that WWE is interested in building a physical Hall of Fame, and Orlando constantly pops up as a potential location. Perhaps we’ll see some WWE themed rides in the Orlando area someday.
