WWE Possibly Adding Two New Championship Belts To The Main Roster

In the world of WWE everyone is chasing championship gold, and it sounds like two more title belts could be introduced for the women’s division. Recently PWN reported that a WWE Women’s United States Championship and a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship are in the works.

Fightful Select later followed up with a report stating that a number of sources in the company confirmed that the titles have been discussed, but it’s not a definite as of yet.

Dave Meltzer addressed the report on Wrestling Observer Radio and stated that a US Title and Intercontinental Title for the women’s division is being talked about, and the idea for the two belts is that there will be one for each brand.

There’s currently no word on when WWE could introduce the new belts, but the company did recently create a NXT Women’s North American Championship which is currently being held by Kelani Jordan.

Stay tuned for updates.
