Over the last few years NXT has expanded in a big way, and more TakeOver events have been added to the pay-per-view schedule.
Now it looks like the number of TakeOver events could be increasing in the future, as it was recently reported on Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast (via CageSideSeats) that WWE may expand the number of NXT TakeOver events to 8 by the end of 2019.
Speaking of NXT, Tommaso Ciampa defeated Aleister Black to become the new NXT Champion on this week’s episode.
Triple H recently commented on the big win by saying Ciampa’s reign has kicked off a new chapter in the brand’s history.
