The WWE premium live event schedule is loaded this year and WWE just added another event in September. Today it was confirmed that WWE Payback will take place from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday, September 2. Tickets for the event are set to go on sale on Tuesday, June 27.
This will be the first time that WWE has used the Payback name for a premium live event since 2020. The 2020 edition of Payback is of course best known for Roman Reigns winning the Universal Championship and kicking off his 1,000 day run as champion.
The WWE Payback premium live event first debuted in 2013 and was headlined by John Cena vs. Ryback for the WWE Championship. The name was used through 2017 and then brought back once again in 2020.
Stay tuned for more updates on plans for Payback as they become available.
