The wrestling world is full of surprises and a few weeks ago SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis officially unveiled the new WWE Women’s United States Championship.
Over the last few weeks a tournament has been taking place on SmackDown to crown the first ever WWE Women’s United States Champion with the finals set to take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event next month. Now that the SmackDown women’s division has a new belt to fight for everyone has been wondering if Raw could be adding another belt as well.
PWInsider Elite is reporting that WWE is already planning to introduce a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship belt for the Monday Night Raw brand.
Right now the expectation is that the new WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship belt will be rolled out after the WWE Women’s United States Championship has been established.
