We’re on the cusp of WrestleMania season and business is about the pick up with the Royal Rumble this weekend. The show will emanate from Saudi Arabia for the first time ever and there’s a lot of anticipation heading into the event.
Fightful Select reports that WWE has plans to bring in surprise names later in the week. WWE sources noted that they think it will actually be easier to keep the surprises a secret this year.
In previous years WWE would have had to worry about people seeing talent at different airports, but now the feeling is that with a chartered plane, and more privacy at the air strip and hotels it will be easier to keep things quiet.
WWE had a number of travel options prepared over the weekend to get talent from Montreal to Toronto, and then to Saudi Arabia after Raw. A number of SmackDown talent will have an extended period away from home as they traveled from SmackDown last week to Raw in Toronto and then departed for Saudi Arabia after the show.
The WWE Royal Rumble will air live from Saudi Arabia on Saturday, January 31st and the current card can be seen below.
