With two separate brands and a cruiserweight division the WWE main roster is currently loaded with title belts at the moment, but it looks like the company could be adding yet another championship to its ranks in the weeks to come.
PWInsider reports that WWE will be introducing Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles after WrestleMania season ends. If this plan does go through then it would mean that there would be three sets of Tag Team Titles for the WWE main roster.
WCW previously instituted Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles, but the belts disappeared after the company went under in 2001.
Right now there’s no word on the exact debut dates for the titles, but it’s being reported that several belt designs have been worked on, and the final design was recently approved by WWE.
205 Live has had a bumpy ride so far, but recently Triple H took over the show, and it seems that its developing more into a show that focuses on in-ring action as opposed to character building and storylines.
The stars of 205 Live are currently competing in a Cruiserweight Championship tournament which is set to culminate with a title match to crown a new champion at WrestleMania 34 in a few weeks.
