It was announced last week on Monday Night Raw that Enzo Amore would be locked inside a steel cage and suspended above the ring at SummerSlam as Big Cass goes one-on-one with The Big Show in the ring underneath him.
It has been noted in several reports that Enzo is making history by stepping into the shark cage at SummerSlam since a babyface star has never been locked in the cage, it is usually something that is traditionally kept for heel superstars to prevent them interfering in matches.
The Wrestling Observer also noted this week that it is highly likely that Enzo could be set to turn heel this Sunday night and inadvertently help his former tag team partner by dropping a foreign object from the cage for The Big Show, but instead helping Cass with it.
There are also rumours that seem to think that Enzo could be set to team back up with his former friend as a heel stable, something that would be quite controversial given the fact that the duo have been part of a deeply personal rivalry as of late.
Enzo has been stealing the headlines as of late because he doesn’t seem to be a very popular person in the locker room, but if turning him heel means that WWE won’t be forced to send him back to NXT or 205 Live, then it seems like the best option for him.
