Fans can always expect to see some familiar faces at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and last weekend a handful of WWE Hall of Famers got into the action.
Names like Michelle McCool, Lita and The Bella Twins were involved with the event, but it looks like WWE passed on the idea of having another Hall of Famer return.
During a recent interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Sean Waltman revealed that he contacted WWE to let them know he would be ready for the men’s Royal Rumble match if they needed him, but the company didn’t show any interest.
“As far as the Royal Rumble, I gave them a heads up I’d be ready if they wanted me. I wasn’t actively campaigning for it. I wasn’t going to do that. But I let them know, and I guess they weren’t interested.”
