WWE has released quite a few talents recently and it’s also rumored that Lilian Garcia could be done with the company as well. Fans have been asking about her status on social media and she recently told fans on Twitter that she’s been away dealing with a personal issue. Lilian also added that she is looking forward to returning on Monday.
However former WWE writer Court Bauer recently mentioned on his MLW Radio podcast that Lilian Garcia was quietly let go. Bauer said that he had confirmed her release with someone in WWE shortly before recording the podcast. He also mentioned that since WWE didn’t announce her release that it could be a situation where the company is just letting her contract run out.
It was also noted by Mike Killam of Wrestlezone via Reddit that he’s heard WWE is just letting her contract run out and that it’s possible Garcia could make appearances on television in the meantime.
“I talked to a few people who are saying WWE is letting her contract expire. She wasn’t fired last week. So when she shows up on Raw next week (IF she shows up) don’t everyone be all like “how about those Lillian rumors!?” It’s coming. She just might be on TV until the contract expires.”
Lilian Garcia has of course had an incredible career with WWE. She hired on with the company back in 1999. She worked as a ring announcer for 10 years before retiring in 2009, but Lilian didn’t stay away from the WWE for long as she officially returned to the company in 2011.
At this point WWE has not made any sort of announcement in regards to Lilian Garcia’s status, but according to her latest Twitter post she’s hoping to return to work on Monday. Will we see Lillian Garcia on Raw? Looks like we’ll find out on Monday.
