WWE Officials Reportedly Thrilled With Current Champion

There have been a number of breakout stars in 2024 and there’s no denying that Roxanne Perez has become one of the stars to watch in NXT. Perez has been at the top of the women’s division in NXT for some time now, and it seems that she’s impressing the right people.

Fightful Select is reporting that WWE officials have been “incredibly thrilled” with how Roxanne Perez has developed as a heel throughout her current title reign. It was noted that prior to the WWE Draft this year the plan was to keep Perez on NXT so she could continue to develop as a heel.

Over the weekend Roxanne Perez successfully retained her NXT Women’s Championship at No Mercy when she defeated Jaida Parker. Following the match Giulia arrived and confronted Roxanne Perez teasing a potential title match.

During this week’s episode of NXT, Roxanne Perez made her way down to the ring to cut a promo, but she was interrupted by Chelsea Green. Eventually Giulia made her entrance, took out Chelsea Green, then announced that she will be challenging Roxanne during the October 1st episode of NXT when the show premieres on the CW.
