Over the last few years the wrestling world has changed drastically. AEW has been crossing over with multiple companies and recently WWE has shown that they are also willing to work with other companies under the right circumstances. WWE and AEW working together still seems highly unlikely, but fans can’t help but talk about the potential crossover matches that could happen if the two companies were to put together a joint event.
WWE executive vice president of talent relations & head of communications Chris Legentil was asked about WWE’s stance on a potential combined event with AEW during the Sports Media podcast with Richard Deitsch, and he simply said that there’s, “No interest.”
Chris Legentil went on to clarify that he’s not trying to take a shot at AEW or anyone who works there when he added, “I just want to make clear. There is definitely a variety of excellent talent that don’t currently reside in WWE. There is no shot there that is being fired. It’s just to say, the answer to your question is no conversation has been had in relation to that.”
