You never know when WWE will introduce a new rule to shake up the landscape on Raw and SmackDown, and a few months ago the McMahons did away with General Managers, and automatic rematch clauses for champions who lose their titles.
However, fans have been questioning the validity of the no rematch rule, especially as of late with talents such as The Revival getting a rematch against The New Day for their SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the no rematch clause is “out the window” and that it’s not a rule anymore.
It was also noted that WWE came up with the rule and “just forgot.”
Are you glad the rule isn’t being enforced anymore? Sound off in the comments below.
